Create Your Own Yoda Lightsaber Halloween costume

Making your very own Yoda Lightsaber is especially easy. The Star Wars series had such a huge influence has had on the American culture and the world. For George Lucas to have created what he did in May of 1977 was nothing short of phenomenal. It's spawned off many more movies, product lines, memoriablia, cosplays, conventions and countless Star Wars Halloween costumes.

Out of the many popular characters, one favorite is master Yoda. The old, jedi master stands only about 2 -3 feet tall and is the source of a myriad of popular and famous questions, such as "Fear is the path to the Dark Side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you,"  Anyway, let's get on with how to fabricate your very own speclized Master Yoda costume.

Buying your own costume in this present day can be a bit expensive. Especially since creating your own costume really isn't that difficult or that much work. It'll save you quite a bit of hard earned cash and the same goes for a Yoda lightsaber.

Yoda Halloween Costume

The Yoda Lightsaber costumes starts with a dark brown shirt paired with pants. Yoda's robe can be made out of 4 separate pieces of light brown colored fabric. 2 of the fabrics should be equivalent to your shoulder length and about as high as your shoulder to ankle. The other 2 materials should be shoulder to waist high and wrap around your arm with relative ease. Sew the sides of the larger piece of fabric with a six inch opening for the arms and sleeves. Sew together the top of the robe and leave another six inch hole for the collar. Fold the widy of the sleeves and sew up the opposite folds. Finally, connect the slves to the robe's arms holes. Cut the robe straight down the middle, taking care not to foget to hm the sleeves, collar and front/bottom openings of the robe while turning the right side out.

All that's left are the accessories. Get a Yoda lightsaber and brown belt. Yoda's cane can be easily fabricated on the cheap by gluing several paper towel cardboad inners together, curving the top part like his cane. Just remember this can't be used as an actual cane and is decorative only. Putting any pressure on it will crumple it like a soda can.

You can optionally dye your hair white and use green face paint for your face, hands, exposed skin, etc. and use cotton balls for Yoda's ears.
