How to Use a Grey Wig to Spruce up your Halloween Costume
There are only a few months left before Halloween comes around and many people are already planning their costumes.
There are literally thousands of costumes to choose from, and picking a costume can be a daunting task. Do you
happen to have an old grey wig lying around or have you seen a grey wig at a costume shop that you really like but
you don't know exactly what to do with it? If so, read on and explore the myriad of possibilities that a grey wig
can open up.
If you are interested in anime and you have a grey wig that you want to use for a Halloween costume, then take a
closer look at your wig. Take note of how long or short it is, what shade of grey it is and whether the wig has
curly or straight hair. Now, look up your favourite anime online and browse though the character pictures. Look for
an anime character with hair that more or less matches the wig you have. If you find a character you like, then you
can build your costume around that. You can also use this method for other cartoons or whatever your favourite show
is.
One of the easiest things to do with a grey wig is to dress up as an old person. All you'll need is some
old-looking clothes and some makeup and maybe a pair of old glasses. Make sure the glasses have a grade that suits
your eyesight. If you have 20-20 vision, then use a pair of glasses with ungraded lenses so as to avoid damaging
your eyes. You can then use the makeup to make your face look older. Add a few fake wrinkles on your face for extra
effect. It might be a better idea to dress up as a famous old person, like the people you can see on famous
paintings like Whistler's mother.
You could also research for other cool characters with grey hair. You can dress up as a wizard or warlock. All
you'll need aside from the wig is a robe and old book that looks like a tome. You can also add a walking staff or
magic wand into the mix. If you're a girl, then you can dress up as a sorceress or a witch with the same items. You
can also carry around a broom to look more convincing. You can also be creative and use your wig to make a vampire
or a banshee costume or some other creature of the night.
If you have a wig with curly hair, you can tie up the end in a ponytail and dress up as an English judge or even
heroes like George Washington. You can also dress up like European gentlemen in the 1600s or 1700s.
The possibilities are endless. Don't be afraid to be creative and make sure to settle on a costume that you like
and will enjoy wearing.
