Ingenious Do It Yourself Costumes for Halloween
There are so many ways that you could create your own do it yourself costumes for Halloween. You don't have to
spend hundreds of dollars on an ingenious costume when, in fact, there are ways that you can copy a character so
well that it looks almost authentic. Here are a few costumes that you can create this Halloween:1. Harry Potter -
if you want to look like the greatest wizard and Quidditch player that the world has ever seen, there's a way that
you can easily look like Harry Potter. The first thing you will have to obtain is a pair of round glasses. You can
look around for old sunglasses and just take out the lenses. Put a clear piece of tape around the middle bridge so
that it will look more authentic. Use pink makeup to create the lightning scar on your forehead. Make your hair a
little bit messy so as to copy Harry's always-messy hair. If you want to carry around a Quidditch Snitch for a more
authentic feel to your do it yourself costumes, create a gold ball with white feathers coming out of two sides.
Don't forget your cape!2. Dorothy - for do it yourself costumes that will whisk you away into the Land of Oz, you
can easily create a Dorothy costume out of printed fabric, a white top, white socks, and glittery shoes. The ruby
slippers can easily be created by taking a pair of plain ballerina slippers and gluing a lot of red glitter all
over it. For added authenticity, you can also carry around a small picnic basket with a dog stuffed toy inside it,
or even a real dog!3. Ghost 2.0 - Halloween isn't Halloween without your very own rendition of a ghost! In the
history of do it yourself costumes, the ghost is probably the one that is the most overused, because it is the
easiest. But that doesn't mean that you have to be boring if you're dressing up as a ghost. Sew the sheet in places
so as to create "sleeves," and then cut up the edges in a ragged way.4. IPod Commercial - this is one of the most
ingenious and fun costumes to ever grace Halloween! If you've seen the iPod commercials, then you know that all it
takes is a silhouette and a solid colored background. Dress yourself in all plain black clothes. Use black face
paint to color in your face also. Use ONLY face paint; because the skin on the face is very sensitive, and it may
get damaged if you use anything else. Use pure white accessories. Tape a large, fluorescent backdrop on your back;
this can be any color of your choice. And last but not the least, don't forget your iPod!There are so many other
ingenious do it yourself costumes that you can create for the next Halloween or costume party that comes along. So
if there is a character that you want to copy, just look very carefully at the details, and look for easy ways to
copy them. You will have so much fun every single Halloween that will come along!
